The Alliance Française d'Albuquerque, founded over 40 years ago, is our
local chapter of the international Federation of Alliances Françaises, the
largest network of French language and cultural centers in the world. With
over 1,000 chapters established in more than 100 countries, the Alliance
Française is dedicated to promoting French language and culture, and to
fostering friendly relations between Francophones and Francophiles of all
racial, ethnic and national origins. The Alliance Française School admits
students of any race, color and national or ethnic origin.
The Alliance School offers courses in French on all levels taught by highly
qualified instructors who are native or near-native speakers. Classes meet
in our offices, conveniently located between Menaul and Candelaria at
2917 Carlisle NE, suites 207 and 110. (For 207, please use the west entrance at the top
of the stairs; for 110, use the south door off the parking lot - look for our buzzer).
Minimum enrollment is 5 students;
maximum enrollment is 10 students. The textbooks used in each course are
available for purchase in our office or may be found online.
Course Descriptions
The Alliance School offers two types of courses, both conducted in French.
Conversational French language classes introduce students to grammar, vocabulary
and pronunciation while emphasizing communication. Advanced seminars are for students
who have already studied French and wish to maintain or increase their fluency. Our small
classes allow for more personalized attention and active participation in a friendly
classroom setting that helps students gain confidence in speaking French.
Registration Information
It is important to enroll in the right class for you. If this is your first Alliance course,
please call 872-9288 for assistance in placement. We will be holding placement interviews
by appointment in June. Whether you are a new or returning student, please register
by mail, phone (872-9288) or through our website — www.afabq.com. Discounts are available for
early registration. Some classes may be postponed 1-2 weeks until minimum enrollment is reached.

your class. Please be sure to have a written or verbal confirmation
before attending any class.
Tuition and Membership

like Café Causette.
We ask that your registration form and payment reach the Director prior to the
