In 2006, the Alliance Française d'Albuquerque was named an official testing
center for the Test d'évaluation de français of the
Chambre de Commerce et
d'Industrie de Paris. This test is an internationally recognized assessment
of non-francophone speakers' oral and written French. It is required for
emigration to Canada, and may be required for certain applications for study
or work in France; however, it can be taken by students simply wishing to
have an accurate assessment of their level in French.
The TEF consists of
three compulsory exams ("compréhension écrite, compréhension orale, lexique
et structure") and two optional exams ("expression écrite & expression
orale"). It may be taken in parts and may be taken more than once.
Afterwards, students receive an "attestation de résultats," good for one
year from the date of the test.
If you are interested in more information, or would like to register for the
exam, please contact Carolyn Simmons
at least 4 weeks before the scheduled date of the exam. Dates for the exams
may be flexible, so please inquire.
Students must register and send their payment for the exam to the Alliance
Française d'Albuquerque 24 days before the date of the exam. Payment cannot
be refunded if the student is absent on the day of the exam.
